Student Life
Supporting the social-emotional wellbeing of every student
At AWS, we know that academic success is closely linked to emotional wellbeing. Our professional school counsellors provide confidential, compassionate support to help students navigate challenges, build resilience, and develop healthy coping strategies.
From individual sessions to group workshops, our counselling programme is designed to ensure every student feels supported, understood, and empowered.
Holistic support for student wellbeing
Confidential one-on-one sessions for students dealing with anxiety, stress, peer issues, family changes, or other personal challenges.
Small group workshops on topics like friendship skills, stress management, self-esteem, and transition support.
Regular social-emotional learning lessons integrated into the curriculum, teaching conflict resolution, empathy, and self-regulation.
Immediate intervention and support for students experiencing acute distress, with referral pathways to external professionals.
Students can self-refer, be referred by a teacher or parent, or visit the counselling office during break times. All conversations are confidential.
Our counsellors maintain confidentiality while keeping parents informed when appropriate. For serious concerns, we always involve parents as partners in supporting the student.
